Nine regulated services share the building, so a North York patient can move between them without repeating the story from the start. What follows describes what each one involves and who it suits, in plain terms rather than clinical shorthand.

Who We Are
No referral is needed to book, because chiropractic sits outside OHIP coverage in Ontario. Most patients pay through an extended health plan from work or school, and the clinic bills those plans directly where the insurer allows it. A first appointment runs longer than the ones that follow, since it covers your history, an examination of movement, joints and nerve function, and a plain explanation of what was found. Questions are welcome throughout, and any technique can be declined.
- Multidisciplinary Team
Chiropractors, physiotherapists, and registered massage therapists collaborating under one roof, so your care is coordinated, not fragmented.
- Movement Based Approach
We assess how your body actually moves, then build a treatment plan that restores function from the foundation up. Kinetic. Core. Foundation.
“Ask anything you like. A clear explanation is part of the care.”
Coming into a health appointment without knowing the system makes the whole thing harder than it needs to be. Every finding gets explained in ordinary words, the treatment gets described before it happens, and costs are quoted up front so nothing arrives as a surprise later.
What We Offer
Chiropractic Treatments Available to North York Patients
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care covers spinal and joint assessment, adjustment, mobilisation and soft tissue work for back pain, neck pain and headaches. Nothing happens before it is described and you agree to it.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy rebuilds strength and movement after injury through graded exercise and manual therapy. Each stage is explained, so you know what the coming weeks are meant to look like.
Registered Massage Therapy
Massage therapy from a Registered Massage Therapist eases muscle tension and supports circulation. Ask for the pressure you prefer, and the therapist adjusts it as the session runs.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture places fine sterile needles at defined points to help settle pain and muscle guarding. First time patients are shown a needle and hear the reasoning before anything at all starts.
Class IV K-Laser Therapy
Class IV laser therapy directs light energy into tissue to help reduce swelling and support repair. Sessions run a few minutes, feel warm, and need no medication, dressing or recovery time afterwards.
Custom Orthotics
Custom orthotics begin with a gait and foot assessment, then casting on site. Many extended health plans cover part of the cost, and the claim paperwork is completed and prepared for you at the desk.
Exercise Rehabilitation
Exercise rehabilitation is supervised loading designed by a Registered Kinesiologist and progressed as capacity grows. Every exercise is demonstrated and written down before you take it home.
Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy addresses bladder control, pelvic discomfort and core function in a private room. Consent is confirmed at each step and any part of it can be declined without explanation.
Pediatric & Pregnancy Chiropractic
Pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic uses gentle, low force techniques for back, pelvic and hip discomfort during pregnancy, and for posture aches and sports complaints in school aged children.
How It Works
Your Path from Pain to Lasting Movement
Every patient at KC Rehab follows the same proven four step process, designed to uncover the root cause of your pain or restriction and build a recovery plan that actually lasts.
Consultation and Assessment
Your first visit begins with a detailed conversation about your history, lifestyle, and goals. We then perform a hands on movement assessment to identify the underlying mechanics behind your symptoms.
Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your assessment findings, we build a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, goals, and timeline. This may combine chiropractic, physiotherapy, RMT, acupuncture, and exercise rehabilitation.
Active Treatment & Therapy
Your plan comes to life through manual therapy, targeted exercise, and the modalities best suited to your condition. Every session is monitored and adjusted based on your progress.
Ongoing Care & Prevention
Once you have recovered, we equip you with the exercises, ergonomic advice, and maintenance schedule you need to stay pain-free and continue moving well for years to come.
Why CHoose Us
Why North York Patients Choose Our Clinic
Every chiropractor here is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, which sets the standards for practice, records and consent. Ongoing chiropractic care runs alongside eight other services under one roof, with free parking outside the door.
CCO registered chiropractors
Registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario means verified training, continuing education and a public register you can search before booking.
Plain language explanations
Findings are described in ordinary words, with a drawing or a model where that helps. You should be able to repeat back what is wrong and why the plan suits it.
Direct billing to most plans
Extended health claims are submitted for you at the desk where your insurer permits it, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover.
No referral needed to book
Chiropractic is a primary contact profession in Ontario, so you can book directly. A physician letter is only needed if your insurer specifically asks for one.
RESTORE. REBUILD. RECOVER.
Whether it has been a week or a decade, you do not have to keep adjusting your life around pain. Book your initial assessment at KC Rehab today and find out what real, movement based recovery actually feels like.
Our Customer Testimonials
Frequent Asked Questions
What happens at a first chiropractic appointment?
A first visit covers your history, a physical examination and an explanation of the findings before any treatment. Movement, joints and reflexes are tested. Treatment usually starts the same day once you agree to it. Where the picture points elsewhere, physiotherapy may be suggested instead.
Is a doctor’s referral needed to see a chiropractor?
No referral is required, because chiropractors in Ontario are primary contact practitioners you can approach directly. Booking takes one call. Some insurers still ask for a physician note first, so check your policy wording first. Your family doctor can be kept informed with your consent.
Does OHIP pay for chiropractic visits in Ontario?
OHIP stopped funding routine chiropractic visits in 2004, so patients pay privately or through an extended health plan. Fees are quoted before treatment begins. KinetiCore Rehabilitation Centre bills most insurers directly where the plan permits. Written receipts are issued for anything you claim yourself.
How do I use a workplace health plan for visits?
Bring your insurer name, policy number and member number and the desk sets up direct billing. Most plans cover a set dollar amount each calendar year. To check your remaining balance before committing to a course of care, contact us. Spousal plans often stack on your own, which stretches the yearly limit.
Which documents should North York patients bring?
Bring photo identification, your insurance details, a list of current medications and any imaging reports you already hold. Nothing is refused for missing paperwork. Patients also travel here from Willowdale for the same reason. Previous X-ray or MRI results are useful but not required.
Can the assessment be explained in everyday words?
Why does a first visit take longer than later ones?
The first appointment includes history taking, physical testing and a full explanation, so it runs around twice the length of a follow up. Later visits focus on treatment and review. Time spent early usually reduces the number of visits needed. Patients travelling in from Oak Ridges appreciate that efficiency.
What does CCO registration mean for my care?
Registration means the practitioner met the education and examination standards of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and stays accountable to them. The register is public and searchable online. It also sets rules on consent and record keeping. You may ask for a registration number at any visit.
