Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is regulated separately by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and it covers the assessment and treatment of injury across a considerably broader range than this.
Registered Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is delivered by registered massage therapists under their own Ontario college, working strictly within whatever boundaries you choose to set at the start of an appointment.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a controlled act in Ontario, performed only by those practitioners whose own college has specifically authorised it to them within their own defined scope of practice.
Class IV K-Laser Therapy
Class IV laser therapy is a modality rather than a profession, applied by regulated practitioners within their own scope, and it is never used over the abdomen at any point during a pregnancy.
Custom Orthotics
Custom orthotics are assessed and cast on site by regulated practitioners, and the coverage available usually depends on which profession has issued the prescription for them in the first place.
Exercise Rehabilitation
Exercise rehabilitation is delivered by a kinesiologist registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, which is another entirely separate college with its own standards and its own scope.
Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy is a physiotherapy specialty, delivered privately by a physiotherapist who holds additional pelvic health training well beyond their general registration alone.

Yes, though the reason is usually the parent’s own back or shoulder discomfort rather than the baby’s. Markham Road runs south to us in around fifteen minutes at most times of day. Patients from Mount Joy attend regularly, and parking sits free directly outside our own front door.
What sort of clinic sets limits on what it treats?
KinetiCore Rehabilitation Centre does, and stating the scope plainly is a standard part of practising within a regulated profession. Several colleges are represented in the building, each with its own defined scope, so referral between them happens without anyone having to leave the clinic.
Do Victoria Square families attend for this care?
Yes, and the scope and the approach are identical regardless of which neighbourhood a family travels from. Victoria Square is a straightforward run south on Woodbine Avenue from there, and parking is free. Our Victoria Square page sets out this service with the local detail for that area.
What conditions in children do you not treat here?
Care is limited to musculoskeletal comfort, so illness, infection and developmental conditions all sit outside it. Chiropractic makes no claim to treat those and neither do we. Anything of that kind is referred straight to your physician or paediatrician instead of being treated.
Do South Unionville parents bring children here as well?
Yes, and South Unionville is one of the closest neighbourhoods, a few minutes up McCowan Road from us. The same limits and exactly the same assessment apply from either one of those two areas here. Parking is free. Our South Unionville page covers this service for residents near the Square.
Where does general chiropractic fit alongside this service?
When would you refer my child to a physician instead?
Whenever the assessment finds anything that is not a musculoskeletal complaint, or anything that needs medical investigation. That includes unexplained pain, night pain and any sign that does not fit a mechanical pattern. Referral rather than treatment is the correct answer in all of those situations.
Can I ask whether my child’s issue is suitable at all?
Yes, and we would rather tell you it is unsuitable than have you make the trip for nothing. You can contact us with your child’s age, what you have noticed and how long it has been present, and we will give you a straight answer before you book. There is no cost at all for asking.
